• Defining the strategy for the category, growing assortment, seller and sale revenue, adapting strategy to local specificities and sharing best practices across the six Lazada countries
• Identifying growth opportunities based on customer insights
• Ensuring implementation of the strategy, working through the country teams on the ground (defining KPIs, setting targets,following up with the teams)
• Driving implementation of marketing and merchandising
• Identifying and developing projects to enhance both customer and seller experience for respective category
• Enabling sellers
• Leading and developing category management capability in both the region and country teams
• Be an industry expert with at least 7-10 years of progressive work experience in buying and / or e-commerce.
• Be a seasoned people leader with a minimum of 3 years’ management experience.
• Have a deep understanding of category operations and how each part of the ecosystem work both separately andcollectively
• In-depth insights into consumer buying behaviour across different Southeast Asian markets.
• Possess strong business acumen with sound knowledge of monetization in this business model.
• Come with a good understanding on past, current, and potential trends.
• Have insights and with the ability to define and execute the strategy for this category
• Have a deep understanding of enabling sellers
• Have a flexible, adaptive and versatile personality
• Proven ability in building relationships
