Team Introduction
The Assortment Operations function is part of the broader General Operations organization, and plays a key role in ensuring that the Lazada platform delivers the best products at the best prices to our consumers. As part of our long-term strategic focus on strengthening assortment, the team is tasked with driving initiatives that enhance product availability, relevance, and competitiveness. This is achieved through an iterative, data-driven approach that continuously tests and refines how we scale the right assortment across the right categories. Working hand-in-hand with Commercial teams, regional partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, the team supports both foundational operations and strategic experimentation to shape the future of assortment on our platform.
Role Introduction
The Assortment Operations Specialist is a highly operational role that supports the execution of assortment-related strategies across both campaign and non-campaign periods. This role collaborates closely with Commercial teams, Pricing, Campaigns, Category Management, and regional counterparts to drive business outcomes tied to assortment and pricing.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems through operations, and can connect high-level strategy with execution-level details.
Key focus areas include:
1. Top Assortment Operations: Ensure high-performing products with strong demand potential are consistently surfaced and supported across the platform. Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the identification and onboarding of Top Assortment items based on performance data and category strategy
• Coordinating with Commercial and Campaign teams to ensure Top Assortment visibility across platform events and sales campaigns
• Monitoring performance and continuously iterating on product selection criteria
• Managing related operational trackers and aligning with internal tools to streamline assortment tagging, tracking, and prioritization
2. Price Bidding Programs: Drive participation and performance in platform-driven price bidding initiatives that aim to deliver the most competitive prices to our consumers. Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the end-to-end process of product nomination, bid setup, and offer validation
• Ensuring timely and accurate execution of pricing operations across key sales periods and regular BAU
• Collaborating with Commercial, Pricing, and Regional teams to resolve issues and align on offer strategies
• Tracking program performance, identifying gaps, and providing feedback to improve bidding mechanisms and outcomes
Must-Have:
• 2–3 years of experience in eCommerce, category management, pricing, operations, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data to make decisions
• Operational mindset with great attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving parts
• Excellent communication and coordination skills; able to work cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to adapt to evolving business requirements and priorities
• Proactive, accountable, and results-oriented
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and basic data dashboards or tools
Nice to Have:
• Experience with assortment management or pricing programs
• Familiarity with campaign operations or category performance strategies
• Experience working with regional teams or in a multi-country setup
