The role
This role is critical to evolving the experience of our mother & baby and personal care consumers. You must have a strong passion for innovation, and a strong desire to go beyond the market expectations. In order to achieve this, you will have to work collaboratively with the your suppliers, the entire retail team and other Lazada functions functions.This is a people manager role, and this role reports to the Head of Retail Buying.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Retail buying
- Grow both our flagship and retailer business models
- Develop and execute the assortment plan across categories, price-points, and brands
- Onboard, develop, and sustain suppliers into the retail business
- Secure the right margins to enable the business to invest in growth while staying sustainableInsights and steering
- Provide forecasts, insights, and recommendations for retail's KPIs, key battles, and initiatives
- Conduct competitive analyses and benchmarks
- Establish cadences to effectively and efficiently operate the business
- Critique current operating procedures and provide change recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiencyStrategy, Planning, and Priorities management
- Scope, plan, and execute project plans in varying degrees of independence
- Develop and maintain operating procedures, contingencies, and process improvements
- Drive initiatives to success – be hands-on, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and analytical with each engagement. Being a thought partner, and a collaborator
- Be a strong collaborator with local and regional teammates and stakeholders
- Work as a thought partner with other teams to engage on areas of opportunities
