The role
The Vendor Portfolio Manager drives the overall growth of the accounts in assigned category through managing and expanding relationships with high growth potential vendors; both brands and sellers. They will be responsible for assortment expansion, account management, and sales analysis and be involved in functions such as marketing and platform operations.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Client Consultant
- Engage with vendors to understand their business goals, needs, and preferences and aligning them with platform initiatives.
- Assess vendors’ eligibility and suitability for specific Lazada programs and services
- Provide knowledge about fundamental e-commerce practices to grow on the platform
Program Specialist
- Stay informed and critical on Lazada’s products, services and programs being offers to partners
- Explain the features, benefits, and terms of such programs to vendors
- Able to critically analyze the programs to leverage its strengths
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell Lazada products and/or services
- Track the performance and utilization of Lazada programs by clients
Financial Planner
- Collaborate with vendors to develop personalized P&L plans based on their objectives
- Provide insights on how Lazada programs can align with and contribute to vendors’ financial goals
Relationship Manager
- Conduct regular in-person visits to vendor locations to strengthen relationships and gain insights into their operations
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors to address any concerns related to programs, sponsored solutions, campaigns, or logistics; among others
Risk Assessor
- Evaluate the risk tolerance and financial situation of vendors to recommend suitable programs
- Address concerns related to risk management and advise suitable optimizations to meet their business goals
Requirements/Qualifications(must have)
- Proven track record of successful negotiations and relationship, program, and project management
- Can easily build rapport and relationship to assigned brands and sellers in the sub-category
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset
- Willingness to travel for on-site seller visits, field sales experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and marketplace dynamics (preferred)
